I figure 3 months out from hip replacement surgery is a good time to start, so I went to Weight Watchers and have been really trying the past few weeks. The progress is slow and today at the meeting, I spoke with a husband and wife, both who have done very well. I asked what form of exercise they were doing and they suggested this walking DVD.

I stopped on the way home and picked it up. I just finished the one mile walk, and half of that mile was with weights ! This is absolutely NOT something I could have done before my surgery and I am feeling really good ! My plan is to start off everyday with a walk and perhaps after work too and see what kind of a difference I have next week when I weigh in.

My good friend PG from Annoyinglyboring.com recorded his “Weightloss Wednesdays” scale weigh ins and posted them on his blog (Dang I wish I knew how to link here and I would ). So since it is actually a kinda catchy phrase … I’m gonna do my weigh ins on Wednesday too… 🙂

Once I have a plan, I can usually stick to it so I’m really hoping this little public commitment will help too 🙂
