Well I am back from my Boston Trip and really need to catch up and post some pictures …
But for today, .. I have chosen a few pictures of a patriotic nature taken in Bostons’ North End. The first I took from inside the Old North Church looking out at the American Flag and remember thinking about the upcoming election and my hopes for a positive change in our country.
After touring the building, I walked outside and saw a memorial made up of hanging ”dog tags” which were there to symbolize the number of American soldiers lives lost in Iraq. It really had an impact on me and I quietly thanked God that I was one of the lucky mothers who never had to worry about my son in harms way .. This image is only a small portion of memorial… How heartbreaking is that ?
