Well, I thought this was as good a time and place as any to begin … A new hip has given me renewed hope for a more active life and the ability to more aggressively pursue my part time job as a photographer. Being able to squat and get the shot is a must for a photographer and for the past few years, when I get down, I needed help to get up, so twenty days ago, I went in for a new hip!
I have always loved photographs and usually carried a little point and shoot with me, but with the impending birth of my granddaughter, Haley. I got serious.
I think it was at the moment that I looked at this picture from a roll of film I had taken about 8 and 1/2 years ago of Haley and her mother sharing a tender moment that I decided I may just be onto something. I knew that I loved how it made me feel when I looked at it and was certain that for my subjects, it would surely be something they would treasure for years to come.

There will undoubtedly be many pictures of Haley on this blog. She, after all is my favorite model and connects so well with the lens! I really am not sure what direction to head with this blog but I am sure it will come to me

Yay Peta! You’re up and running! I must say that I am honored to be in your inaugural photo!
Since Haley will undoubtedly be featured in many future posts, I promise to heep her bangs (professionally) trimmed!
We can’t wait to have you as our guest – to spend some time recuperating in the fabulous digs!
xoxo
[...] of it all! June 30, 2008 My mother-in-law, Christine, has her blog online and she chose a picture of me and the little darling as her first post. Awwww! She credits the pic for inspiring her to take pictures [...]
